On May 5th, 1818, Karl Marx was born. Marx was born in Trier in the Kingdom of Prussia (now known as Germany). A prophet of man, he brought the gospel of Communism to a new age, and developed historical materialism to bring form to history.

Today, nations live free because of the theoretical foundation this man had laid. Historical materialism being the divine law of human ascent. It teaches that the mill gives you feudalism and the machine gives you capital. No social order is eternal. Each bears its own grave within its womb.

He brought science to human society, something that the majority of world governments reject. An explanation to the natural flow of the world. A reasoning for human belief and human revolution.

“It is not the consciousness of men that determines their being, but on the contrary their social being that determines their consciousness.”

Marx went beyond philosopher. He actively sought to see the poor uplifted. To see the worker free of their chains.

"The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it."

Beyond the books, Marx threw himself into organizing. He co founded the International Workingmen's Association in 1864, known as the First International

With Frederick Engels he wrote pamphlets, directed strategy, and advised striking workers across Europe.

Marx tapped in to something sacred. Something known to humanity already. Communism was the specter that was already haunting Europe before Marx. Communism haunted the Roman elites during the rise of Christ, and the Quraysh tribe during the march on Mecca.

His theory was vindicated by the rise of the Bolsheviks, and as later generations built upon it, it would go on to inspire the liberation of countless people around the world. Marx’s ideas will continue to shape history and guide humanity toward its full deliverance.
